Objective:
Increase FLOPS member engagement and participation.
FLOPS members will compete against each other by earning points through Club participation, brewing and serving their beer at charitable fundraising events, and by scoring or placing in national and regional homebrew competitions.
Brewer of the Year points will be earned on a calendar year basis, beginning January 1st. Please see the Scoring System outlined below.
The member scoring the highest number of points for the year will earn Fame and Fortune as the FLOPS Brewer of the Year! (Fame and Fortune not guaranteed!)
In addition to Brewer of the Year, the Club also will select one member as Ass of the Year. The winner of this award is determined by tallying individual monthly Ass of the Month awards. In case of a tie, the Ass of the Year will be selected by vote of the members.
