Recent Events

Big Brew Day at Doc’s – Excellent event resulting in 3 prospective brew club members (undetermined which club).  Brewing demos were conducted by Doc Farmer (all grain) and James Harvey (extract).

Bugs, Beer, & Birthday Cake – Fantastic event hosted by Keith Linn. Awesome spread of crawdads and excellent beers.  Many members brought kegs and growlers, and sang very out of tune around the campfire. Tom is still looking for the crawdad that stole his beer.

Homebrew Showcase in Siloam

Larry McCallister & James Spurlin won “The Jack” trophy for their butterbeer.

Marsha Farmer won People’s Choice for her delicious Cider.

Kolin mentioned possibly creating a separate category for beer and cider since cider seems to take top honors during that warm event.

“So you want to open a Brewery” presented by club president Patrick Bohannon, with added commentary from vice-president Daniel Stubblefield (Boston Mountain Brewing) and Larry McCallister (The Fermentary Public House).
